Problem
A customer sends a new drawing revision. Engineering finds what changed, then updates the BOM, the quote, every open work order and every purchase order that uses the part. Each update happens in a different place.
What it does
YP compares the new revision with the previous one, lists every change and finds the BOMs, quotes, open work orders and purchase orders that use the part. It drafts each update and notifies the people involved.
How it works

A new drawing revision starts the work. The run starts with a revised drawing from the customer or from your CAD system.
YP lists what changed between the two revisions. Dimensions, materials, tolerances and notes on the new drawing are compared with the previous revision.
Every record that uses the part is found in your ERP. That covers BOMs, open quotes, work orders and purchase orders. Stock and work in progress are listed, so you can decide whether to use as is, rework or scrap.
An update is drafted for every affected record. Each record gets a proposed change, and that change is linked to the drawing difference behind it.
Engineering approves each change before it goes through. Engineering reviews the change set. Approved updates go through, and the team is told in Teams.
