The challenge
A customs hold stops more than one shipment. The robots planned to put it away have nothing to do, and every order that depends on the held goods is at risk.
Re-planning by hand takes time the shift doesn't have, and carrier cut-offs get missed.
How we worked together
We connected YP to the warehouse and customs systems and to the robot fleet manager, and customized it around how the site plans its day.
The shift lead keeps the final say. YP proposes, the shift lead approves.
What's live
Keep robots working when customs holds goods
YP checks every open order against the held stock, works out which orders can still ship and proposes a new plan. Once the shift lead approves, the fleet manager gives the robots their new tasks.

The results
When a hold lands, the robots and the team keep shipping the orders that can go out, and fewer carrier cut-offs are missed.
